Financial reports should not begin with reconstruction.

When invoices, bills, payments, tax workings and bank statements live apart, closing the period becomes an exercise in recovering context.

Scalar360 carries supported operational events into balanced entries, then lets the journal, ledgers, statements and reconciliation views explain the result.

One accounting foundation

Follow the entry from document to control.

Move through the workflow to see how source context survives posting, review, reporting and bank reconciliation.

Record

The business document starts the entry.

Invoices, bills, receipts, payments, credit notes and expenses retain their operational meaning when they post to the ledger.
  • Invoice INV-8024
  • Source retained
  • Journal JE-1488

Posted. Balanced. Reviewed. Reconciled.

The books should explain themselves.

The financial journey

Carry context all the way to the close.

A source document begins the movement. Ledgers organise it. Statements interpret it. Controls test it against the outside record.

Source

Keep the operational event behind the accounting entry.

Supported documents post with their source type, memo, date and balanced account lines intact.

Ledger

Follow the movement through the right account.

Sales, purchases, cash, bank, tax and control ledgers show debit, credit and running balance over time.

Statement

Read performance and position from the same foundation.

P&L, balance sheet and trial balance assemble the ledger into reviewable financial statements.

Control

Reconcile the external record with the internal one.

Bank statements, GST summaries and audit activity help finance teams inspect the numbers before acting on them.

Bank reconciliation

Close the gap between the statement and the books.

Map statement columns, review automatic suggestions, choose manual matches when needed and post valid bank-only adjustments before reconciling.

Everything behind a more explainable close.

Questions, answered

Before the next close.

Does Scalar360 use double-entry accounting?

Yes. Supported operational documents create balanced journal entries with debit and credit lines. The journal, chart of accounts, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet expose the resulting accounting structure.

Can we add our own ledger accounts?

Yes. Add an account code, name and type to the chart of accounts. The available types are Asset, Liability, Equity, Income and Expense.

Which GST reports are available?

The current GST workspace includes GSTR-1 outward-supply detail and a GSTR-3B liability summary. GSTR-1 exports to JSON, CSV, Excel and PDF; GSTR-3B exports to CSV and PDF. This is reporting support, not a promise of direct portal filing.

Can bank statements be imported from Excel?

Yes. Import CSV or XLSX statements, map their columns and review a preview. Lines can then be automatically or manually matched to recorded receipts, payments, expenses and supported asset-sale entries.

How are bank charges or interest handled during reconciliation?

An unmatched statement line can post an adjustment to Bank Charges, Interest Income or Miscellaneous Expense with a narration, creating the corresponding debit and credit entry.

Can the ledger be rebuilt?

An authorised rebuild can regenerate general-ledger entries from supported source documents. It is an accounting repair control and should be used deliberately after reviewing the organisation’s data.
